ABIA SOUTH: See When INEC Declared Abaribe Winner Over Gov. Ikpeazu | WATCH VIDEO

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has finally declared Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe winner of the Abia South senatorial district election held on Saturday, February 25, 2023.

Recall that even with Abaribe topping the list with Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, the PDP’s candidate coming a distant 3rd, INEC had declared the election inconclusive pending when a supplementary election is held in some polling units where the electoral process did not hold.

However, the Commission made a U-turn and declared Abaribe, the candidate of APGA winner of the election having polled a total vote of 49, 693 to beat his rivals.

The returning officer, Professor Georgina Ugwuanyi, who announced the results and declared Abaribe winner said the Labour party’s candidate; Uchenna Onyeizu scored 43, 993 while the Governor of Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu scored 28, 102.
