See What Nigerian has realized in two months after first case of COVID-19

Nigeria confirmed 204 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, the biggest single-day increase since the most populous African country reported the first case on Feb. 27.

Since the outbreak in Nigeria, the government has stopped international and domestic passenger flights, closed all educational institutions and introduced a lockdown in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun states, among other measures, to curb the virus’s spread.

AFNews reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed this in a series of tweets on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Thursday evening, April 30.

According to the NCDC, of the two hundred and four new coronavirus cases recorded on Thursday evening, 80 were detected in Kano, northern Nigeria, 45 in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, 12-Gombe 9-Bauchi 9-Sokoto 7-Borno 7-Edo 6-Rivers 6-Ogun 4-FCT 4-Akwa Ibom 4-Bayelsa 3-Kaduna 2-Oyo 2-Delta 2-Nasarawa 1-Ondo 1-Kebbi, northern Nigeria.

The NCDC tweeted: 204 new cases of #COVID19 reported; 80-Kano 45-Lagos 12-Gombe 9-Bauchi 9-Sokoto 7-Borno 7-Edo 6-Rivers 6-Ogun 4-FCT 4-Akwa Ibom 4-Bayelsa 3-Kaduna 2-Oyo 2-Delta 2-Nasarawa 1-Ondo 1-Kebbi 11:50 pm 30th April- 1932 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria Discharged: 319 Deaths: 58,” the tweet added.
