SAD: How Neighbor Kidnapped, Murdered Man 6 Days To His Wedding | SEE DETAILS

One Kazeem Mohammed, has been accused of murdering his neighbor, Mr Olokose Ojo,  six days to his wedding.

The suspect was said to have promised  to assist the deceased buy cows for the wedding ceremony in Kwara State.

The deceased in his early 30, was a staff  of  the National Health Insurance Scheme unit of the University of Ilorin  Teaching Hospital. He is suspected to  have been murdered by  Mohammed, and his gang for ritual purposes.

The victim’s body was said to have been cut into pieces, packed in a sack, and deposited at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital’s morgue while some parts were missing.

The suspected ritualists also poured acid on the deceased’s remains to speed up decay.

It was also alleged that Mohammed who had twice, served jail terms, belong to a gang of ritualists.

A source told PUNCH;

“The wedding was supposed to take place in March in Akure, Ondo State. Ojo gave Mohammed N350,000 to buy three cows for him.

“The duo later traveled to Patigi, in the Patigi Local Government Area of the state to buy the cows.

“The groom was attacked in the bush in Patigi by his trusted neighbor and other members of his gang.

“The gang also called his relations that he had been kidnapped and demanded N12m ransom, which was negotiated to N3m.

“The suspects also used the victim’s ATM cards and collected about N1.2m before he was murdered.”

Further findings revealed that the suspects killed the victim shortly after the relations paid part of the ransom demanded.

Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Ajayi Okasanmi, said,;

“We have commenced investigation and started making some arrests. That is what I can say for now. The investigation is still ongoing.”

The family of the deceased had on Tuesday, gone to the teaching hospital to collect his remains for burial.
