Since the crisis with Russia began on Tuesday last week, Ukrainians and foreigners have attempted to evacuate Ukraine for safety in neighboring countries such as Poland, Romania, Hungary, and others.
The border guards, however, are said to have thwarted their efforts and many left under the cold.
Twitter user @vukiledlamini19 shared a video to corroborate this information with the caption:
”I am saddened and I can confirm that two people have died because of the cold trying to cross the border between last night and today.There are people stuck at the border who are freezing and they are stuck! Many of them are friends.This has to be a nightmare! This cannot be real”
