Professor Gregory Ibe Dole Out Millions For An All Expense Paid Scholarship For 100 Undergraduates

One hundred undergraduates were on Tuesday 31st January 2023, inducted into the scholarship scheme of Professor Gregory Ibe, the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) to study at the Gregory University Uturu.

Speaking to journalists at the event, Professor Ibe explained that beneficiaries of the N800million scholarship scheme were selected from all the 17 local government areas of Abia state and are given equal opportunity.

The scheme accommodates indigenes and non indigenes of Abia state who are also given free accommodation, internet service, among others.

Professor Ibe regretted that most health facilities in Abia state are getting moribund, however it motivated him to introduce medical courses like radiology, physiotherapy, optometry, laboratory technology, etc. into Gregory university three years ago.

He assured that he will revitalize the health facilities that are either collapsed or about to collapse if he becomes the next governor of the state. Also, medical graduates of his institution who are also beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme would be employed into various general hospitals in the state after their national Youth service to help revitalize the health institution.
