Presidential Election Tribunal Starts Hearing Today | WATCH VIDEO

The 2023 presidential election tribunal will today, May 8, 2023, commence hearing into petitions filed by various aggrieved parties and candidates over the election result.

Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party filed a petition before the Tribunal contesting the declaration of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC), as the winner of the February 25, 2023 presidential election.

Similarly, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is contesting the declaration of Tinubu as President-elect.

Meanwhile, Tinubu is billed to be inaugurated President on May 29, however there have been calls for Tinubu not to be inaugurated pending the outcome of the presidential election tribunal sittings.
