PHOTOS| Distribution of Abia COVID-19 palliative materials started today

Abia State Government has started distribution of the food palliative packages today as promised.

Based on the report earlier published by AFNews, the food items will be distributed through organizations like Churches, Mosques and other groups.

The Methodist Archbishop of Umuahia, Most Rev Raphael Opoko and the Catholic Bishop of Aba, Most Rev Professor Augustine Echema were amongst the church leaders that received theirs today.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu was represented at the event by his Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu.

The state government just extended the lockdown for another 7 days.
