Students of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) Awka, in Anambra State are protesting the hike in school fees.
The UNIZIK students in their numbers had placards with inscriptions like;
“Nnamdi Azikiwe University Akwa; Educations is not only for the rich.
” The poor are also entitled to Education.
” Students engage in prostitution to pay fees.
” Education is for all.
” We have prayed enough, we need to act”.
” I no get Daddy, even the one wey sugar dey inside, i no get”.
” Students are begging please reduce the school fees.”
” School is not only for the rich”.
Meanwhile the management of UNIZIK has debunked the report that it increased the school fees.
