Pensioners in Nigeria are unfortunately the most ill treated around the globe. The current predicament of the then Government workers, now pensioners are so heartbreaking.
Government workers who put their lifetime energy working for the government, while funding the pension scheme also, retire with nothing to cater for themselves in their retirement age.
Most of these pensioners end up dying without receiving a dime from the pension scheme nor the Nigerian government.
In an investigative video by BBC, a retiree/pensioner said; “when you retire, you are in hell fire, we are no more a human being….”
