The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Abia State Chapter have described as false and untrue the 400,000 people Dr. Alex Otti OFR claimed to have moved with him to APC over the weekend.

 

This statement was contented in a press release made to available to AFNEWS and signed by Abia State PDP Publicity Secretary Hon.Chief Fabian Nwankwo.

 

He revealed that if truly Alex Otti has that number of supporters or followers , he should have won the 2015 and 2019 election respectively.

The state chapter of the Peoples Democratic party(PDP) has described the inconsistent number of persons claimed by a former APGA Gubernatorial candidate in the state – Dr.Alex Otti that 400,000 and 450,000 of his followers joined him in his recent defection to APC as laughable and a display of unusual state of confused mind of the failed APGA Governorship candidate in political calculation.

 

Reacting to the conflicting figures given by Dr.Otti to the press about his defection from APGA to APC,the state publicity secretary of the PDP- Chief Fabian Nwankwo maintained that the 400,000 and 450,000 alleged followers of Dr.Otti were mere assumption manufactured by him to achieve undue popularity and mislead Abians and the public that he has a political weight but failed to understand the political equation that if actually he has the backing of such a large number of followership,then,he shouldn’t have failed woefully as he did in the last two governorship elections in the state.

 

He advised Dr.Otti to live with his self inflicted woes and learn how to be a political team player.
Chief Nwankwo said that the PDP has repositioned itself to win all the elective positions in future elections and advised the opposition parties in the state to support the ongoing massive infrastructural revolution of the state Governor – Dr Okezie ikpeazu PhD to enable Abians enjoy more dividends of democracy instead of desipating energy and resources on political miscalculation and frivolities.

 

The state PDP advised Abians to avoid serial liars and be careful with desperate politicians who want to ascend political power by all cost at the expense of the state resource and progress.
