‘Oya send account details’ – Davido tells cyclist riding from Benue to see him
Nigeria’s Afrobeats singer Davido has resolved to gift a cycling fan (Emmiwuks) money with a promise to meet him when he returns to Nigeria.
Davido, on Thursday, August 10, learnt of the fan’s mission to cycle from Benue to Lagos to congratulate him on the massive success of his ‘Timeless’ album.
Emmiwuks was reported to have begun his journey from Benue on Tuesday, August 3, to arrive in Lagos on Friday, August 11.
However, the D.M.W. boss tweeted, “Turn around, I’m not home,” telling the cyclist fan to abort the mission as he wasn’t available.
But Emmiwuks, in a tweet on Friday, expressed his resolve to complete his journey and accomplish his mission.
He tweeted: “Am not going back, Boss. I must present my gift to you @davido. Benin state heading to Ogun any moment from now.”
Hours later, O.B.O. cited Emmiwuks’ tweet and requested his account details, promising to see him on his return to the country.
Davido wrote: “U no wan hear …. Oya send account … then u can do ur great journey when I’m back.”
