Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has sent a message of solidarity to Labour Party’s Edo gubernatorial candidate, Olumide Akpata, ahead of the crucial election tomorrow. Otti expressed confidence in Akpata’s victory and urged INEC to ensure a free and fair process while calling for peaceful conduct from all stakeholders.

 

As Edo State gears up for a crucial gubernatorial election tomorrow, the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has sent a powerful message of solidarity to the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Barrister Olumide Akpata. In his message, Governor Otti expressed unwavering confidence that Akpata would secure victory, affirming that the people of Edo have placed their trust in both the candidate and the Labour Party.

Governor Otti described the election as a historic moment for the people of Edo State, emphasizing that millions of Labour Party supporters in Abia and across Nigeria are standing with Akpata in spirit. He highlighted the widespread belief that Akpata’s leadership would bring about meaningful change and progress for Edo residents.

 

“Tomorrow’s election marks a turning point in the lives of the Edo people,” Otti declared, urging voters to come out in large numbers and participate peacefully in the democratic process.

In a strong call to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Otti urged the body to conduct a free, fair, and transparent election, ensuring that the true will of the people is reflected. He also appealed to all stakeholders and voters to maintain peace throughout the process, from the pre-election period to the final announcement of results.

 

Governor Otti further called on security agencies to act with neutrality and professionalism during the election, stressing that their role is vital to ensuring a smooth and credible exercise.

 

In closing, Otti reiterated his best wishes to Barrister Akpata, encouraging him to remain focused and assured of the party’s overwhelming support as Edo State stands on the verge of significant political change.
