Onu-Ugu Abia Congratulates Lolo Pricilla Otti Over Guber Victory
A women support group known as “ONU-UGU WOMEN FOR ALEX OTTI”, have congratulated Dr. Alex Otti of the Labour Party on his emergence as the Abia state governor elect following his declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The group equally congratulated Her excellency Lolo Pricilla Otti, for her commitment all through the campaign period. The group revealed that Lolo Pricilla Otti took her campaign to the interior communities in the 17 LGAS of the state to meet rural women, who in turn trooped out en mass on the election day to vote Dr. Alex Chioma Otti and Labour Party.
Onu Ugu Women while congratulating the governor elect in a statement signed by the state coordinator Nneoma Lady Grace Ibeh of Umunneochi LGA and state secretary Mercy Anokwuru, the group posited that Otti’s victory is well deserved, and expressed optimism that he has the vision, capacity to bring the desired change in all parts of Abia State.
The women lauded Otti for pledging to prioritise gender equality and women empowerment, noting also that they look forward to working with the incoming administration to advance the cause of women and to create a better future for all Abians in particular, and Nigerians at large.
“While we are celebrating our Godsent Returning Officer, Prof. Mrs. Nnenna Oti for allowing God to use her to liberate Abia State and Abians, let us also celebrate the Founder of this noble support group. He is no other person but the director of pro- groups, Rev. Fr. Anokwuru. ONU- UGU WOMEN FOR ALEX OTTI was actually his brain child. Congratulations, FR. We also celebrate the woman God used to coordinate the affairs of this and many other forums created for this wonderful victory that we are enjoying now. She worked tirelessly with others to make sure we get to this level. Mummy Grace Ibeh, we celebrate you Ma, you are a wonderful and courageous woman, and your name is really working for you.
