The political landscape in Abia State is set for another major convergence as the organisation One Million Youth for Dr. Alex Otti formally announces its 2025 End-of-Year Stakeholders Hangout, a strategic political and developmental gathering scheduled for Thursday, December 18, 2025, at De Latinos Arena, 17 BCA Road, Umuahia, beginning at 6:00pm.

The movement, founded by Mr. Onyekachi Onyenaucheya, in collaboration with Comrade Onyebuchi Chukwu Okereke, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development, says the hangout will serve as both a celebration and a reaffirmation of the youth bloc’s loyalty to the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR.

According to the organisers, the event— themed “Consolidating on the Creative and Impactful Leadership of the New Abia”—will bring together coordinators, influencers, volunteers, partners, student leaders, and strategic stakeholders from across the state and beyond.
They described it as a rare opportunity to review the year’s political engagements, strengthen alliances, and deepen their commitment to the governor’s vision for a modern and prosperous Abia.
The event will feature a mini documentary showcasing key achievements of Governor Otti’s administration, the official unveiling of Local Government and Campus Chapters, as well as sessions for networking, goodwill messages, entertainment, and cross-stakeholder collaborations.
Speaking ahead of the hangout, the Special Assistant on Youth Development, Comrade Okereke, revealed that the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Sir. Ananaba Nwadinma Nwaobilor, will serve as the Guest of Honour, while the Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Dr. Mathew Ekwuruibe, will attend as Special Guest.
He emphasized that the gathering is not just a social event but a strategic political engagement platform, designed to reinforce youth participation in governance and encourage sustained support for the transformative agenda of Governor Otti.
Founder of the movement, Mr. Onyenaucheya, expressed profound appreciation to coordinators and partners for their unwavering dedication throughout the year. He urged all invited stakeholders to attend promptly, assuring that the evening would be insightful, energizing, and politically stimulating.
