OHAFIA POLICE KILLING: Okwun Ojah steps in, gives financial support to families, set to rebuild burnt police Station

Ohafia Born legal practitioner, medical doctor and philanthropist, Dr Okwun Ojah Okwun yesterday paid a condolence visit to the family of late Ifeanyi Arunsi who was killed by a drunk police officer in Ohafia earlier this year .

According to the media aide of Dr. Okwun Ojah Okwun who spoke to AFNEWS after the visit said the condolence visit was necessary when you put into consideration the pain and agony faced by the family in mourning the unfortunate demise of their son.

According to him Dr. Okwun Ojah Okwun met with the family and commiserated with them once again and ” presented a cheque of #300,000 to the family of late Ifeanyi Arunsi”

 

AFNEWS had earlier brought you a report few months ago concerning late Ifeanyi Arunsi, a vibrant promising youth of Ohafia origin who was killed by a drunk police officer while at work.

 

This unfortunate death led to the burning down of the area command office of the Nigerian Police Force in Ohafia by angry youth of the community who were protesting against the death of the young man.

Dr. Okwun Ojah Okwun also used the occasion Yesterday to commission the rebuilding the burnt Police Area Command in Ohafia.

 

“After the visit to the family of late Ifeanyi, He proceeded on a compassionate visit to pastor Osu Kalu Osu family at Amaekpu Ohafia where he donated the sum of #150,000 to enable him take his little boy to hospital for surgery”

This is one among the numerous effort of Dr. Okwun Ojah Okwun at alleviating the suffering of his people in Ohafia, giving them a sense of belonging and giving aggrieved families reasons to move on in life. Earlier this year He embark on a project that would provide good water to everyone leaving in Ohafia.
