An Abia State magistrate Court Presided Over By Chief Magistrate Uma Onwunta on Thursday remanded Mr Obinna DON Norman to Afara Prison over N650,000 dud Cheque issued to Upper Graceland Hotel Umuahia.

DON Norman who was arrested by the Police few Days ago for issuing a Dud Cheque to Mr Nwaeze Francis, the Chief Executive Officer of Upper Graceland Hotels was arraigned by the Police this Morning.

It Will be recalled that the Chief Executive Officer of Upper Graceland Hotels Umuahia, Mr Nwaeze Francis Jele, who petitioned the Police against Dud cheque paid to him by Obinna Don Norman has cried out that all he wants in the case is justice.

Mr. Francis, who briefed news men earlier this week on the matter narrated how Mr. Obinna Don Norman stayed in his hotel for 104 days at the rate of 4000 naira per day and later gave him a fake cheque. According to him, “On June 2nd 2017, Don Norman came to my hotel and approached me that he wants to stay in my hotel for a very long time and that he is going to be paying monthly as a salary earner”.

Counsel to Mr Obinna DON Norman Barr Martins Ladi had applied for Bail of his Client

“The Accused will not Jump Bail, he will not tamper with the Cause of Investigation, he will avail himself to Stand his Trial” He Said.

But the Prosecutor Counsel Asp Augustine opposed the Bail Application inline with Section 1 Section B Sub C 2004 Of the Advance Fee Fraud as Applicable in Abia State.

“My Lord we are Objecting to the bail of the Defendant”

“The Law says that the Honourable Court Lacks Jurisdiction” he Said.
