The six abducted students and two staff of the Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, Zaria in Kauna State, have regained their freedom.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Polytechnic, Abdullahi Shehu, confirmed their release in an interview with Channels TV.
According to the PRO, they regained their freedom after a negotiation between their parents and the bandits.
He however did not reveal if ransom was paid to secure their release.
Shehu noted that the polytechnic will soon receive the released students and staff.
Recall that bandits had stormed the polytechnic on June 11, abducted six students and two staff, unfortunately, a student died during the attack.
