The former Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Abia North, Chief Nnamdi Iro, has joined well-wishers across the nation to celebrate Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, on his two-year anniversary as Executive Governor of Abia State.

In a glowing congratulatory message released on Tuesday, Chief Iro praised Governor Otti for the unprecedented transformation the state has witnessed under his watch, describing the last two years as a “remarkable period of hope, restoration, and progressive governance.”

Chief Iro, who flew the Labour Party’s flag for Abia North during the 2023 general elections, highlighted the Governor’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and people-oriented leadership as major turning points for Abia’s journey toward greatness.

“Your purposeful leadership has transformed Abia State into a shining example of good governance,” the statement read. “Your people-oriented policies, infrastructural development, and commitment to transparency have rekindled public trust and brought renewed hope to our people.”

The Labour Party chieftain particularly applauded the rejuvenation of Aba—Abia’s commercial nerve centre—alongside the ongoing rehabilitation of roads, hospitals, schools, and the general clean-up of moribund public institutions, all of which he said reflect Governor Otti’s vision and dedication.

“From the rejuvenation of Aba to the rehabilitation of roads and the clean-up of public institutions, your achievements speak volumes of your vision and dedication,” Iro said.

He further expressed pride in Governor Otti’s alignment with the Labour Party’s progressive ideals and encouraged him to remain focused on delivering even more impactful results in the years ahead.

“As a proud member of the Labour Party and an advocate of progressive leadership, I am deeply inspired by the energy and results you have brought to governance,” Chief Iro noted.

According to him, the people of Abia North are not only witnesses but also beneficiaries of Otti’s transformative leadership, adding that they collectively pray for the governor’s continued strength, wisdom, and divine protection.

On behalf of his family, political supporters, and the entire Abia North Senatorial District, Chief Nnamdi Iro extended his warmest wishes to the Governor and reiterated his confidence that Abia is on the path to greater heights.

“Congratulations once again, Your Excellency. Abia is in safe hands,” he concluded.

Chief Nnamdi Iro remains one of the prominent voices in Abia North, known for his commitment to equity, youth empowerment, and political development within the region.
