The trio comprising of a male, one Mr Ezekiel Agbaje, and two females were on Friday, December 3, kidnapped on their way to a church vigil at Iwokun in Obada-Oko, Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state.

A statement released on Tuesday, by ACC Moruf Yusuf. the Corps Director of Information and Public Relations, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, also known as So-Safe Corps, said the male victim was rescued by the operatives on Sunday, December 5 while the rest were released on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

According to Yusuf, while interrogating the rescued victims, it was revealed that the same church had previously been attacked in June this year which resulted in the kidnap of a worshiper.
