A former aide to President Muhammadu Buhari has said that Nigerians cannot entrust the Igbo ethnic group from the South East to govern them as president.

Abdurrahman Sumaila, who was a Special Assistant to the President on Assembly Matters, made this statement on Thursday, June 3, in Kano state while briefing journalists.

According to him, no right-thinking Nigerian will endanger his life to support the candidature of any Igbo politician contesting for 2023 Presidency.

Sumaila who frowned at the rising insecurity and attacks in the South East, said, chaos caused by the attacks affects everybody including the perpetrators.

“With these atrocities committed by the South-East people on record, how can Nigerians entrust them to govern us? I am sure not a single right-thinking Nigerian will endanger his life to support the candidature of any South-East politician contesting for presidency come 2023 general elections.
