The MD/CEO of the Agency, Peter Ewerso said the production of the guidelines manual was mandatory owing to the challenges of the new electricity distribution companies with wide variety of construction standard and practices due to the emergence of divergent technical partners and business philosophy.
He said the coming into use of the guidelines manual would address the inadequacy of the standards, specifications and construction in the distribution subsector of Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry.
It will also serve as a benchmark for the Agency’s inspecting engineers and technical officers in the execution of the Agency’s functions of enforcement of technical standard.
