The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has revealed how potential buyers can dictate fake online shops on the internet.

The NCC is the Independent National Regulatory Authority in charge of the telecom industry in Nigeria.

Giving out tips on how to know online vendors/shops that are not genuine but fake, the Commission advised;

“Research the website and look them up on social media for public reviews.”

“If the price of products seem too good to be true, it is most likely not true.”

“Genuine online shops would have a verifiable contact us page.

“A genuine online shop will always have a shipping and return policy set up  on the website with clear information for the customer. “
