NCC Celebrates Durojaiye Okodu As He Retires From Service | DETAILS
Durojaiye Anthony Okodu, alias Baba Naira, has retired from active service as a Principal Manager, Projects, at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
Okodu who retired at the mandatory age of 60, having served for 28 years, was hosted by staff of NCC on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Commission’s Head Office Annex at Mbora District, Abuja.
Speaking at the valedictory session attended also by friends and well-wishers of the retiree, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde, NCC’s Director, Public Affairs, described Okodu as one who was dedicated to service. He noted that Okodu was readily available, displaying intelligence and never got angered no matter the level of provocation.
NCC’s Director, Projects, Iyabode Solanke, described Okodu as a dedicated person, worthy of emulation while in service.
Sholanke who was represented by a Deputy Director in the department, Philip Eretan, also lauded his sense of fashion and excellent work ethics.
In her goodwill message, NCC’s Director, Zonal Operations, Amina Shehu, listed qualities of Okodu which include empathy, kindness, gentleness, and consistency.
Speaking at the event, the celebrant appreciated everyone for honoring him. He charged others still in service to be hardworking, dedicated and loyal to the Commission.
Okudu began his career at the Commission in July 1994, as a cashier on transfer from the Ministry of Communications before coming to the NCC
