As the world marked International Mother’s Day, the Chief Liaison Officer of the Abia State Government Liaison Office Abuja, Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, has paid glowing tribute to mothers across Uzuakoli, Bende, and the entire Abia State, describing them as the pillars of society.

In a goodwill message released to commemorate the occasion, Chinasa praised the resilience, love, and sacrifices of women who continue to shape families and communities through their nurturing roles.

According to him, the impact of mothers extends beyond their homes, influencing the moral foundation and leadership qualities of future generations.

Chinasa emphasized that the contributions of mothers remain invaluable to the growth and stability of society.

Quoting the popular saying that “the hands that rock the cradle rule the world,” he noted that mothers play a vital role in shaping the minds and values of children who later become leaders in different sectors of society.

He stated that the love, dedication, and commitment of women continue to drive community development and social cohesion.

In his tribute, the Chief Liaison Officer also highlighted the critical role mothers play in raising leaders who go on to influence national development.

He referenced notable figures such as Nnamdi Azikiwe, Michael Iheonukara Okpara, and Alex Otti, noting that behind every great leader is the influence of a nurturing mother.

According to him, the ability of women to conceive, nurture, and raise children who eventually become icons of society demonstrates their unique and irreplaceable role in nation-building.

Chinasa urged society to continuously recognize and appreciate the efforts of women, not only during special celebrations but throughout the year.

He encouraged mothers and women to take pride in their contributions and remember that their sacrifices and dedication do not go unnoticed.

“To every woman, let today serve as a reminder of your worth and impact. Your efforts are seen, valued, and cherished,” he stated.

The message also extended appreciation to all women who demonstrate strength, resilience, and compassion in their daily lives, noting that motherhood goes beyond biological ties and includes all women who mentor, guide, and support others.

Observers say the Mother’s Day message reflects growing recognition of the role women play in shaping communities and sustaining social values.

As families across Nigeria celebrated the occasion, many used the opportunity to honour mothers and caregivers whose dedication continues to shape the future of society.
