Argentina’s Lionel Messi’s World Cup victory post has become the most-liked Instagram post by a sportsperson in history.
Messi who is considered to be the greatest footballer of all time on Sunday won his first ever trophy that has eluded him in his career.
Taking to Instagram, the Argentines captain posted a picture of him lifting the world cup which has already gotten over forty-two million likes and counting.
Ronaldo’s post depicting the pair playing chess had on November 21 2022 garnered over 36.9 million likes.
However, Messi’ World Cup picture on the platform has surpassed it.
