VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: IMMEDIATE RECRUITMENT (START DATE: APRIL 1, 2026)

Alexome Vegetable Oil is a premium player in the edible oils manufacturing sector, dedicated to producing high-quality vegetable oil products for the Nigerian market. Operating from our facility in Umuahia, Abia State, we are committed to excellence, innovation, and operational efficiency.
In preparation for our 2026 expansion and operational cycle, we are seeking qualified, hardworking, and passionate individuals to join our team. Successful candidates must be available to resume duties on April 1, 2026.
We are recruiting to fill the following positions:
- POSITION: MARKETING/SALES MANAGER
- Location: Umuahia (with travel required)
- Reports to: Business Manager
- Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Marketing/Sales Manager to drive brand visibility, expand market share, and manage client relationships across the South-East and beyond.
- Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. An MBA is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience in FMCG sales management, specifically within the food/beverage sector.
- Strong understanding of the South-East and South-South distribution networks.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and modern marketing analytics.
- Must be target-driven and able to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
- POSITION: QUALITY CONTROL OFFICER
- Location: Umuahia (Factory)
- Reports to: Production Manager
- Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring that all raw materials and finished products meet regulatory standards and company quality benchmarks.
- Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Food Science and Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a quality control role within a manufacturing environment (Oil refinery experience is a distinct advantage).
- Knowledge of ISO standards, HACCP, and GMP.
- Proficiency in laboratory analysis techniques for oil quality (FFA, Moisture, Colour, etc.).
- High attention to detail and integrity.
- POSITION: SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETER
- Location: Umuahia (Office-based with creative flexibility)
- Reports to: Marketing Manager
- Job Summary: To manage the company’s digital presence, create engaging content, and drive online sales leads and brand awareness.
- Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Mass Communication, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) managing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn) for a brand.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite) and basic video editing.
- Strong copywriting and storytelling ability.
- Experience with paid social media advertising and analytics is required.
- POSITION: MACHINE OPERATORS
- Location: Umuahia (Factory)
- Reports to: Production Supervisor
- Job Summary: To operate, monitor, and maintain heavy machinery used in the oil extraction and refining process.
- Qualifications & Skills:
- SSCE / Technical Trade Test / OND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating industrial machinery (preferably in oil refinery or similar processing plants).
- Ability to detect operational anomalies and perform basic troubleshooting/maintenance.
- Must be physically fit and safety-conscious.
- POSITION: FACTORY WORKERS (General Operations)
- Location: Umuahia (Factory)
- Reports to: Production Supervisor
- Job Summary: Responsible for general factory duties including loading/unloading, packing, sorting, and maintaining cleanliness on the production floor.
- Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of SSCE qualification.
- Previous experience in a factory/manufacturing setting is an advantage.
- Must be hardworking, punctual, and able to follow strict safety guidelines.
- Ability to work in a team and handle physical tasks.
