A man who was caught in the act of sleeping with his teenage daughter, has committed suicide in Imo State.

The deceased from Amaigbo in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State, reportedly hanged himself on Thursday, June 10, after some villagers caught him having s-xual affair with his 17-year-old daughter.

 

A source in the community who spoke to The Sun, said, villagers approached the man to question him on his affair with his daughter having suspected the father and child for a long time, but the man denied having any s-xual relationship with his daughter.

 

The source said some of his kinsmen decided to keep watch over the duo. Unfortunately for the man, he was caught red handed with his daughter.

Upon being caught in the act, he reportedly attempted to jump out from his window, but was caught and taken to the palace of the traditional ruler of the area where he was said to have confessed to the crime.

 

He was made to perform some traditional rituals for cleansing of the desecrated land.

 

Report says the man pleaded for his daughter’s forgiveness and later hung himself on a tree.

According to the source also, the girl claimed that her father had threatening to kill her if she exposed their secret affair.

 

The source said;

 

“She told us that her father has been sleeping with her since she was 16 years, he even threatened to kill her if she reveals their affair to the mother who is a trader.

 

” Her mother takes her goods to the market everyday. She does not know what is going on between them.”
