Major Roads, Streets in Asaba Empty as COVID-19 Lockdown Continues

Major roads and streets in Asaba the capital city of Delta State looks deserted as the stay at home order of the State Governor Dr Ifeanyi Okowa which came into force on Wednesday 1st April 2020 enters Day 4.

Some of the major junctions and streets visited by AFNews includes the ever busy Summit Junction which leads to Shoprite, government house and other eyebrow areas in the city center.

Other areas visited includes Coker Junction, Jemok Former Deputy junction as well as the ever busy Asaba-Onitsha expressway, each of this places visited was deserted with no vehicular movements.

 

Major parks and stores are under locks and keys, expect for few vehicles carrying those on essential duties, security officers and Federal Road Safety officers were seen moving around the road with others manning major roads to enforce and ensure compliance of the state government lockdown.
