Customers have called out loan Apps after its administrators published obituaries declaring the debtors dead for exceeding the stipulated time to pay back their debts.

One of Soko Loan App customers named Chinedu Azuwuike, said the repayment of the loan was overdue for only 5 days and he came online to see an obituary with his name, face and age on it.

The obituary announced that he “died” on January 4, 2022, and will be buried on the 24th of January, 2022.
Chinedu has vowed never to pay back the loan he took for the sick stunt pulled by the agency.

According to him, “If I pay them, let this obituary be real,” the debtor swore as he called out the loan app.

Another customer, of ‘deloan’,  Victoria Eyo Epko did not hide her shock as she made a post of “her obituary” made by the loan app, which stated she “died” on 7th January, 2022. She also mentioned the agency reached out to her mother, raining insults on her for the debt her daughter, Victoria owes.

Victoria who made a decision not to pay the debt since the agency went too far in ensuring the loan given was retrieved said “This is what deloan send to me oooo I will never pay they call my mum and insult her may God help us”.
