Liverpool reject Bayern Munich bid for Luis Diaz, Galatasaray want Man City keeper Ederson – Euro Transfer News
In today’s Euro Transfer News wrap, Liverpool have reportedly rejected Bayern Munich’s bid for Luis Diaz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could return to Marseille. Elsewhere, on another busy day in the transfer market, Johan Bakayoko is apparently close to completing a move to RB Leipzig and Ederson has been linked with a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray. Here is everything you need to know.
Liverpool reject Bayern bid
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Liverpool have rejected a €67.5 million bid for Colombian forward Luis Diaz.
Diaz has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, with Barcelona also supposedly interested in the 28-year-old.
The forward scored 17 goals and registered eight assists in 50 appearances across all competitions last term.
Romano believes that Diaz is open to a move before the transfer window shuts.
“Liverpool have received €67.5m official bid from FC Bayern for Luis Diaz this week,” he posted on X.
“The club has rejected the proposal, it was turned down after Liverpool already closed doors to approaches in June.
“Luis Diaz, open to summer exit with both Bayern & Barca keen.”
Bakayoko medical imminent
Johan Bakayoko will complete his medical with German side RB Leipzig this week, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The PSV winger scored 12 goals and registered three assists for the Dutch giants last term as they battled back to beat Ajax to first place in the Eredivisie.
The 22-year-old has been linked with several clubs this summer, including some Premier League sides.
However, Plettenberg insists that a move to Leipzig is imminent.
“Johan Bakayoko is on his way to Leipzig as planned,” he wrote. “The medical is expected to be completed on Tuesday or Wednesday.
“Contract until 2030. €18m + €4m add-ons. There have also been hijack attempts in this case, but Bakayoko wants to join RB.”
Aubameyang on his way back
French outlet La Provence are reporting that former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on the verge of a return to Europe with Olympique de Marseille.
The striker has spent the last year with Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah.
However, rumours are swirling that the forward is about to be released from his contract, setting the stage for a return to the club he spent the 2023/24 campaign with.
“Courted by several clubs, the 36-year-old striker, soon to be released by Saudi Arabia’s Al Qadsiah, has several lucrative offers in hand,”
“But the one from OM particularly appeals to him for a whole host of reasons.
“Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has not yet made a final decision about his future.
“But he has his own ideas, and he already knows what he doesn’t want, or no longer wants.”
Ederson tempted by Turkey move
Yagiz Sabuncuoglu believes that Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson could be about to move to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The Brazilian goalkeeper has been with Pep Guardiola’s side since signing with them in 2017.
However, Sabuncuoglu says that the 31-year-old could be tempted to move if his salary demands are met.
“Galatasaray has officially enquired about the conditions for signing Ederson, who wears the Manchester City jersey,” he wrote.
“The Brazilian goalkeeper is open to playing for Galatasaray if his ‘salary expectations’ are met!”
