The Abia State Chairman, Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Ceekay Igara, has been reelected as the State Chairman, Labour Party.

Igara emerged Chairman of the party at the State Congress held in Umuahia, Abia state on the 22nd May 2022.

Addressing party members and supporters at the Congress, Igara expressed confidence that the Labour party will take over governance of Abia come 2023.

“We Will occupy government house by May 2023, it is not whether you agree or not; the truth is that everything favors Labour party.”
The chairman assured that after the party primaries, differences would be seen, adding that “the Egyptians seen today would not be seen again in Abia”.
He also stated that Abians have suffered so much, maintaining that the “Labour party is the government in waiting”.
According to Igara, the people are tired of PDP, APC, APGA and other parties, noting that 2023 is God’s approved time for Labour party to take over.
While speaking to the press after the congress, Igara assured Abians that God has confirm that Labour party will produce the next governor of Abia State. He urged Abians to join Labour Party and be part of the history in the making.
