An eight-man white paper committee has been set up by the Kwara State government to study the report of the visitation panel to the International Aviation College in Ilorin, the state capital.

The committee is chaired by Professor Nasir Abdulsalam, of the University of Ilorin.

It would among other terms of reference, study the report, point up focal issues, and draw up actionable plans on each of the recommendations of the visitation panel in a way to help the state government tackle the issues in the college.

A statement by the spokesman of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in Ilorin, Rafiu Ajakaye, said the white paper committee, is to submit its report to the state government within three weeks of its inaugural meeting.

Meanwhile, as normalcy returns to the state capital, the state government, has reviewed the curfew imposed on Ilorin metropolis, with movement now restricted only between 8p.m and 6a.m daily.

The government said, “Kwarans may see more joint patrols by security agencies within the metropolis and across the state.

“It is to strengthen the gains of the past few days and keep criminal elements at bay,” a statement by the governor’s spokesman stated, advising citizens to go about their lawful businesses without any fear.”
