JUST IN! #EndSARS: Sanwo-Olu move to Abuja To Meet Buhari over police brutality

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Tuesday jetted off to Abuja to met with President Muhammadu Buhari over the recent #EndSARS protests by Nigerian youths.
The Lagos State Governor had earlier in the day marched with #EndSARS protesters who had converged at Alausa, Ikeja.

Sanwo-Olu was spotted on the street of Lagos matching against the brutality of the unit of the police.

After the protest, the governor left Lagos for a meeting with President Buhari to tender a letter containing protesters demands.

In a post on his Twitter page, Sanwo-Olu wrote: “I joined the #ENDSARS protesters in Alausa and received a letter of their demands and once again I reiterated my support.

“I am now on my way to Abuja to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari and the goal of the conversation is clear.

“Tangible next steps to #EndPoliceBrutality.
“We are also immediately setting up a trust fund to compensate the families of police brutality in Lagos state even though no amount of money can reduce their pain.
“The trust fund will be supervised by a team appointed transparently by members of the public.”
