Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has reiterated his administration’s commitment to transforming the state into a premier business hub. Speaking on Sunday during the commissioning of JOVIT Mall, a privately-owned facility in Aba, Otti declared that Abia is open for business and ready to welcome investors from across Nigeria and beyond.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Kenneth Kalu, Otti emphasized that his government is intentional about creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive. He invited investors to relocate their enterprises from cities like Abuja and Lagos to Abia, assuring them of infrastructure development, enhanced security, and supportive governance.
Governor Otti outlined his administration’s efforts to reshape Abia’s economic landscape.
“This government is very intentional about transforming Abia into a conducive place for investors, families, and students,” he said. “Our focus is on infrastructure development and securing lives and properties to support business growth.”
Highlighting ongoing infrastructure projects, Otti assured business owners that his government is working tirelessly to provide roads and other facilities that will make Abia a business-friendly state.
The commissioning of JOVIT Mall, located in Aba, underscores the positive impact of the government’s pro-business policies. The mall, owned by the JOVIT Group, is expected to boost the local economy through job creation and increased commerce.
Mrs. Jovita Oguta, representing the JOVIT Group, commended Governor Otti’s administration for fostering an environment conducive to business growth. She urged other investors to take advantage of the opportunities in Abia State.
Prominent figures, including the Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade and Investment, Chief Nwaka Inem, and traditional ruler Eze Isaac Ikonne, praised Otti’s administration for revitalizing Aba as a center for trade and industry.
“Aba is regaining its rightful place under Governor Otti,” Chief Inem said. “The unveiling of JOVIT Mall is a testament to the collective efforts of this administration.”
