Yesterday, the Isuikwuato and Umunneochi chapters of Ugoabia Grassroot Movement held their first meeting for the year.
The epoch making event which took place at the residence of Chief Amobi Ogah had in attendance various stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress in Isuikwuato and Umunneochi as well as strong supporters of the Ugoabia Grassroot Movement.
In the event, Chief Amobi Ogah declared his interest for the first time to contest for the green Chambers in the federal level come 2023. He said he needed to make this known to Ugoabia Grassroot Movement because they are his family also.
Being a strong APC chieftain in Isuikwuato, he expressed his regrets about the poor state of Isuikwuato people stating that Isuikwuato is the least developed local government in the state and his intention to contest for the Federal House of Representatives come 2023 will bring good things to the people of Isuikwuato and Umunneochi.
Highlights of the event were the mass registration of Isuikwuato and Umunneochi people into the Ugoabia Grassroot Movement. Some members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) registered their support and membership into the All Progressive Congress and Ugoabia Grassroot Movement.
Also Chief Amobi used the opportunity to announce his empowerment program for thousands of Ugoabia faithfuls on 3rd April 2021.
Keynote party stakeholders in attendance were: Honourable Ralph Ukoro, Sir Royal Okereke (APC Party L.G.A. Chairman), Deacon Friday Ukeje, Evng. Uche Uwaekwe (Ugoabia Coordinator, Umunneochi L.G.A.) and Leonard Dimgba (Ugoabia Coordinator, Isuikwuato L.G.A.).
