Taraba State chapter of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), on Wednesday, March 31, arrested a Chadian, one Adama Uomar Issa, 35, who sells narcotics to insurgents.
The suspect was arrested with 21.70Kg of Tramadol 225mg and 250mg, 15.7Kg of Exol.5; 100,050 France CAF and N61, 000.
Speaking, the State Commander of the Agency, Suleiman Jadi, revealed that Issa who speaks only French and Arabic, claims he was taking the illicit substances to Chad Republic before he was intercepted in Jalingo.
He said investigations however, revealed that the suspect is a major supplier of illicit drugs to Boko Haram insurgents.
Speaking on Thursday, the spokesperson of NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, said the arrest came barely one week after a 70-year-old terrorist from Niger Republic, who supplies illicit drugs to Boko Haram members and bandits, was arrested.
