The Federal Government is planning to recruit more troops to tackle the current security challenges in the land.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said this at the Presidential Villa in Abuja yesterday while receiving clergymen from the north, under the auspices of the Arewa Pastors Forum for Peace.

Osinbajo, in a statement by his spokesman, Laolu Akande, said this was part of an ongoing deliberate and comprehensive consolidation of the security situation in the country.

He said that at the last meeting of the National Security Council held on Thursday, “we had discussions on how to beef up the military’s platforms.
