Indigenous Coaches Are On Our List Of Recommendations–NFF
As the search for new managerial hands continues, the Technical Committee of Nigeria’s football governing body, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has disclosed indigenous coaches are on the list of recommendations.
Former midfielder and a member of the body’s Technical Committee, Mutiu Adepoju has opened up on the possibility of considering a domestic manager for the top-flight job.

Recall the steering committee was given a five-day-deadline to come up with a list of individuals competent enough for pivotal role.
The deadline, however expired on Sunday, 10th of April with the Committee yet to seal the deal.
The search for a new figurehead comes after former interim coach, Augustine Equavoen quit the job following the failure of the national team to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
While the 51-year-old brushed aside naming the recommended coaches for the famed job, he stated both indigenous and foreign coaches made the list of those recommended.
“We made recommendations and submitted which would be announced at the appropriate time.
We need a coach that would work in line with what is on ground. We expect the coach that will play what Nigeria is used to, very comfortable football.”
