A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Honorable Kingsley Megwara, has said that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, PhD, have not performed well as expected of him since his administration started in 2015.
Megwara who featured on AFTELEVISION Programme “Focal Point’ on Friday, said the deceased persons; Chijioke Nwakodo (former Chief of staff to the governor); Solomon Ogunji (former commissioner for environment); Chief Ukpai Agwu Ukpai (deputy chief of staff to the governor) will all be rolling in their graves because of Ikpeazu’s poor performance.
“we have to get it right; there is no reason we should not be doing good as Ebonyi state.
“when the late Chijioke Nwakodo; late Ogunji, Late Ukpai; these are men who came up and staked out their integrity on the line. They will be rolling in their graves to see how things are”.
According to Megwara who is a former chairman, Abia State Passengers Integrated Manifest and Safety Scheme (ASPIMSS), the administration of governor Ikpeazu by 2023 will leave pensioners, workers and Abia entirely, worse than it was before his emergence.
Megwara who was elaborating on the things wrong in Abia PDP, said;

According to the chieftain, the current issues rocking Abia PDP is part of the electioneering process, however, ‘Abians are on a cross road’.
He blamed the PDP crisis and outburst from some party chieftains like Chief Charles Ogbonnaya (Evulogu Ibeku) on Ikpeazu.
He added that when such persons begin to speak out, Abians should know that things have fallen apart.
“things fall apart in this instance, I’ll hold the governor responsible for it because he is the leader of the party. If those of us who are members of the party don’t sit back and criticize the party, we will have problems next year.
“the reason we are vocal about this is to see if there are ways we can amend certain things that are not going well” he said.
He also stated that he has criticized the present administration’s governance even when he was in office, however, being away from government for 4 years has shown him the experiences of an average Abian on the street.
“when I vent, its only because I am prepared to defend the collective interest of Abians. I am part and parcel of this administration”
According to him, the 4 years of being away from the government has shown him what the average Abian in the street experience.
