The governor of Abia State Okezie Ikpeazu has congratulated the residents and those doing business in Osusu Road ,Aba Abia State as he administration has constructed the dilapidated and abandoned Osusu Road.

The governor who spoke through his verified tweeter handle @GovernorIkpeazu posited that completion of Osusu road by his administration has sent torrents of nostalgic feelings about the plight of indigenes and residents of Osusu through his veins.

Dr Ikpeazu stated that before now the road has been derelict and forgotten, saying at the last time he checked, way before the commencement of the construction of the road, businesses and livelihoods ceased, life virtually came to a standstill to the extent that a whole storey building was been sold for just #7 million compared to the prices of similar buildings in surrounding areas in Aba.

The governor further stated that before now plantain trees were freely flourishing on Osusu road, commercial keke and okada riders could not ply the road. He opined that even waste management in that axis was not feasible because the evacuation trucks could not find their way through.

The governor said the bad nature of the road got so bad that even the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) had to cut off Osusu form the National Grid.

Dr Okezie congratulated the people of Osusu, stating that Osusu Road has resurrected and that it will never again in the nearest future.

The Abia Chief Executive said, keeping true to the promise made by his administration Osusu road has been constructed, the governor said another one in terms of road construction is down and many more to come.
