Pastor Dike Nwankwo while speaking on an AF-TELEVISION series tagged; “what is our crime” said;
“Nothing is on ground as regards to governance in ukwa west local government area. “The governor has been on sit for over seven years and there is no single project that has been commissioned in Ukwa West Local government area and it’s pathetic because everybody says Ukwa is a oil bearing community of the state. it is unthinkable that the government of the day can so ignore, abandon and marginalize such a people and you still find people supporting that government from that area” Nwankwo said.
He noted that the roads in the area are not passable including Oke ikpe road which restricts people from going about their daily activities until recently when NDDC started a palliative work on the road.
“Ukwa east was cut off from Ukwa West; there is no link and you begin to wonder, are we part of the state? what is our crime? there is nothing on ground”.
“this government is a failure. There is nothing that Ukwa can boast of in this government” he added.
According to Nwankwo, the PDP led government having discovered that they have nothing to campaign with ahead of the 2023 election, the governor invited some of the Ukwa elders and made promises to them which he described as “ridiculous promises”.
