Igbos Don’t Have The Numbers To Become President Yet – Elder Statesman, Eme Okoro
An elder statesman, and a chieftain of the People’s Democratic party (PDP) in Abia state, Chief Dr. Eme Okoro has said that the Igbo people do not have the required number to occupy the presidential seat yet.
Emeka Okoro argued that with the present statistics generated from the registration of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), the south east which has the least number of registered candidates is yet to attain the arithmetic height required in politics adding that “politics requires numbers”.
According to the elder statesman, the only option Igbos has for now is to form an alliance with Atiku Abubakar whom he expressed confidence that he will win the 2023 presidential election.
Okoro who spoke on Thursday at a joint meeting of the state coordinator of Atiku Abubakar campaign council and selected stakeholders in the 17 local Government Areas of Abia state, held at the Atiku /Okowa presidential Headquarters, 23 Azikiwe Street, Umuahia, said, Abubakar is detribalised and will be a right channel to negotiate the much clamoured Igbo presidency.
” Let us see the practical implications of the statistics of winning this election.
“Alliances will lead us to victory; Atiku will win” Eme Okoro said.
