H0T: How Unknown Gunmen Kidnapped Bayelsa SSG’s Mother
Mrs. Betinah Benson, the mother of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Bayelsa Kombowei Benson, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
The kidnappers who reportedly were in military uniform, on Tuesday night, July 20, invaded the old Assembly quarters, in Yenagoa, the capital city, where they whisked the woman away.
Details of the kidnap is sketchy at the moment. However, the state police command says it will be releasing a statement concerning the matter soon.
Benson, who was a former speaker of the state House of Assembly was on February 2020, appointed the SSG to the Bayelsa government by the governor, senator Duoye Diri.
