How Soludo Won Every LGA In Anambra — Full Breakdown Of Historic Election Landslide

Find out how Governor Charles Soludo of APGA recorded a clean sweep in the Anambra governorship election, winning all 21 LGAs in a historic landslide victory. Click to read full details of how he did it.

… Governor Charles Soludo of APGA crushes all opposition, securing 21/21 LGAs in record-breaking Anambra governorship election.

In what has been described as one of the most decisive electoral victories in Nigeria’s recent political history, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has emerged victorious in the just-concluded Anambra Governorship Election, winning all 21 Local Government Areas of the state.

According to the final results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Soludo — the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) — polled an impressive 422,664 votes, leaving his closest rival from the All Progressives Congress (APC) far behind with 99,445 votes.

The Young Progressives Party (YPP) followed with 33,652 votes, while the Labour Party (LP) managed 10,482 votes. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) secured 8,317 votes, and the once-dominant Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) trailed embarrassingly with 1,774 votes.

Political observers believe the outcome of the election is a clear referendum on Soludo’s performance in office, particularly his massive investments in infrastructure, education, and security across the state. From the construction of over 400 kilometers of roads to the aggressive reforms in revenue collection and local governance, Soludo’s administration has resonated deeply with the people.

Analysts also point to his strong grassroots presence and APGA’s enduring influence in Anambra politics as key factors behind the sweeping victory. The party, which has been the dominant force in the state since 2006, once again proved its strength despite the growing national presence of other parties.

For the opposition, the election results represent a total rejection of their campaigns and political strategy. The APC, despite its heavy federal presence, failed to capture any local government, while the PDP — once a major player in Anambra — collapsed completely.

A senior political commentator, reacting to the outcome, said:

“This is not just Soludo’s victory, it’s a victory for APGA’s philosophy of homegrown leadership. The people have spoken loud and clear.”

Meanwhile, several observer groups have commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for what they described as a peaceful, transparent, and credible election, with minimal incidents of violence or irregularities.

The final declaration by INEC officials is expected to be made in Awka, confirming Governor Soludo’s re-election for another four-year term.
