The Niger State Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), have arrested 77 suspects with dangerous weapons and illegal drugs in their possession.

A release signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu A. Abiodun, revealed that the suspects were arrested by the task force team in the ongoing operation of sanitizing the city.

The statement tagged; “SEVENTY-SEVEN (77) MORE SUSPECTED MISCREANTS ARRESTED OVER THE WEEKEND IN MINNA” read;

Niger State Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that seventy-seven (77) more suspected miscreants were apprehended by the task force team with dangerous weapons and illicit drugs over the weekend from 28th-30th January, 2022 at Tudun-Fulani, Rafin-Yashi, Gbeganu and Soje-A area of Minna in furtherance to the Police effort in sanitizing the city.

This is in addition to about one hundred (100) hoodlums arrested from Limawa, Anguwar-Daji, Anguwar-Sarki, Abayi-Close, Kwangila, Anguwar-Biri, Anguwar-Kaje, Anguwar-Kadara, New-Market etc.    

The Command therefore wishes to reassure Nigerlites/residents that the Police is not resting on its oars in ensuring peace and tranquillity in our community.

The citizens/residents are hereby encouraged to go about their lawful business without fear of molestation, intimidation or harassment.
