A Pennsylvania man,  Bruce Bartman, has pleaded guilty to using his dead mother’s name to vote for Trump in 2020 US Presidential election.

The 70 year old man on Friday, April 30, pleaded guilty to one count charge of unlawful voting and  two counts of perjury , according to the Associated Press.

Bartman who blamed his act on “too much propaganda” was sentenced to five years probation, and was also barred from voting for four years.

“I was isolated last year in lock-down; I listened to too much propaganda and made a stupid mistake.”

Bartman was accused of registering his late mother and mother-in-law on Pennsylvania online voter registration portal last August.

Report says he successfully cast a ballot in his mother’s name, who died since 2008, to vote for Trump and other Republicans. He was however charged in December.

Bartman’s attorney, Stretton said;

“He was angry at people criticizing the president and complaining about the election process, and he wanted to do what he considered civil disobedience by registering his mother and voting her.”
