A middle aged man, identified as David Akpokpokpo, has been arrested by a vigilante group  in Amukpe area of Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, for allegedly raping and impregnating his biological teenage daughter.

The suspect reportedly had carnal knowledge of his daughter identifies as Mercy Akpokpokpo, which unfortunately resulted in pregnancy and birth of a three month old baby.

He was said to have threatened to kill his daughter, if she opens up to anyone about their illicit affair.

But trouble resulted when Mercy summoned courage to report her father to the Vigilante group on Friday, August 27, where he was in turn arrested.

During interrogation, David confessed to have raped his biological daughter once, under the influence of alcohol which the daughter countered, saying that her father raped her four times.

The suspect also admitted being the father of the three months old baby Mercy bore.
