The Jigawa State Hisbah Command have arrested 44 commercial s-ex workers, 3 alcohol sellers and confiscated 57 cartoons of alcohol.
According to the State Commandant, Ibrahim Dahiru Garki, the arrest was the outcome of a two-week joint patrol with sister security agencies at seventeen towns of some local government areas.
“44 prostitutes, 3 alcohol sellers and 57 cartoons of alcohol were intercepted during the operation,” he stated.
Garki told journalist that those arrested have been handed over to the police for investigation after which they will be charge to court for prosecution.
He reiterated that the consumption of alcohol, illicit drugs, and others remains prohibited in the state.
