How Edo APC Chairman Escaped From Kidnappers Den | READ DETAILS
The kidnapped Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ward 9, Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State, Mr Godwin Aigbogun, has escaped from his abductors.
Aigbogun was on Monday, kidnapped by suspected herdsmen in Ologbo-Nugu while going back to his village from the farm.
His kidnappers were said to have demanded for five-million-naira ransom. However, the chairman was able to escape from their den.
While confrming his escape to newsmen, Mr. Peter Uwadiae, state Publicity secretary said;
“I can confirm to you that he escaped from the kidnappers’ den. I don’t know how he did it, but I must commend him for his bravery.”
On the other hand, the state police command said his escape was owed to the pressure mounted on the kidnappers by the police.
