A 48-year old butcher, Segun Taiwo has been arrested after his 50-year old mistress, Abimbola Olusola was found dead by the road side at the Aro area of Abeokuta, Ogun State.
According to the command’s spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, a report was filed at the Lafenwa police station after which the police mobilized to the scene where the corpse was recovered and deposited in a morgue.
Oyeyemi said a technical and intelligence based investigation by the homicide team led them to the Obada Oko area where Taiwo was arrested.
On interrogation, he denied knowing the deceased woman. However, evidences shown to him made him confess.
According to Taiwo, he and the deceased started dating in 2020 and he invited her to sleep over in his house on October 31, 2021 when his wife traveled. At about 3am, Olusola started showing signs of sickness after they had s-ex. Taiwo explained that before he could do anything, she gave up the ghost.
Out of fear he carried her dead body in his car and dumped her by the road side.
The police says investigation is still on going in the matter.
